Here's what has been keeping us busy (okay, me busy). I'm mainly scoping out places to take everyone who comes out and visits us.
Imago Dei : I've gone to 2 services, a home group, and a women's forum....Pretty neat.
Sunday Parkways : This was so much fun. EVERYBODY was riding a bike or walking.
Le happy : So deliciously tasty.
Flavour : These are the waffle tacos Hubs has been bragging about.
Saturday Market : It's like a really nice flea market where none of the stuff is used or broken (and talented musicians provide the ambient noise...one totally looked like Yanni -pre-haircut).
Lewis & Clark : Hub's Barbri Location (boo-hiss)
The Horse Brass Pub : (Best pub ever - great traditional British food...including bread pudding)
New Season's Market : Awesome...cheaper than Earthfare and in walking distance.
Madrona's : Nice baked goods, good coffee, and free internet (most important).
Lady Bug Organic Coffee : 25 cent PB cookies and a molasses cookie that helps you remember your Southern Roots.
Panaderia & Tienda Santa Cruz : Inexpensive and fresh Mexican Cuisine....oh so tasty.
St. John's Twin Cinema & Pub : Um...yeah, I watched the new Star Trek...yeah, I was eating a slice while I did it!
Multnomah Public Library : Huge and lots of folks to compete with - but they have a hold system that actually seems to function.
Powell's Books : I heart books.
The Mountain Shop : Matt hearts ski gear.
The Bye & Bye : 2 dudes from Athens started this place...think Bar, but with Grit-esque fair.
Atomic Pizza : Yummy pizza that we didn't get to enjoy for too long before the Hubs got a migraine.
Signal Station Pizza : Equally delicious pizza - a little more gourmet-y.
WinCo : CHEAP GROCERIES!
Cathedral Park : When we went "King Lear" was showing. Awesome.
Peninsula Park & Rose Garden : Lots of Roses.
Columbia Park : They don't grow pine trees like this in the South...and if they did, I wouldn't touch the pine cones.
Voodoo Donuts : "Inventive" doughnuts that can have crass titles - but are delicious. I won't hold it against them that they don't spell doughnuts correctly. P.S. Don't Worry. We totally prayed over the doughnuts before we ate them.
The Fishwife : Yummy fishes....and beets that aren't half bad...they must get them from Schrute Farms.

Eat a waffle taco for me. That sounds so yummy. I HEART waffles!!
ReplyDeleteThe Saturday Market sounds fun. Seattle had a Sunday Market that we went to once.
Do you by chance have a Trader Joe's out there? You should check it out if you do.
p.s. It's about 100 degrees here in case you were homesick.
